Black Bear Hunting BC

Black Bear Hunting In British Columbia

If you’re looking for more of an adventure, we offer British Columbia Bear Hunting in the fall. These are guided spot & stalk black bear hunts in Northern B.C. This is the ‘introductory’ northern mountain hunt – the best value you will find on a Northern BC wilderness mountain hunt.

We offer two British Columbia bear hunts:

1) We have a drive-in (Alaska Highway) based hunt, where you stay in our one road-accessible camp, along the Liard River. Hunting is done by a combination (whatever works for you) truck, ATV, and/or boat. We take 1 or two hunters a week and will customize this adventure bear hunt to make it work for you.

The Alaska Highway Bear hunt is a great way to spend some quality time with a child or grandchild, particularly if tied into a road trip to Alaska.  It’s a great place to stop for a week, experience the wilderness, and go bear hunting!

2) We also offer the full backcountry wilderness experience: Fly-in and stay in one of our rustic moose / mountain goat / stone sheep camps, or maybe in off the highway and hunt with horses.  These mountain bear live fairly low density, but are big, tough and smart enough to survive in Grizzly country.

We have a couple of camps to choose from that provide good black bear hunting. On arrival at either camp, you are likely to begin by loading up a backpack and heading up and out into the uncharted wilderness. This is a hunt that you undertake for the adventure – it is NOT the easiest or most economical way to get a bear –it’s a physically challenging hunt and the odds of success vary significantly from year to year, based on the weather/food available. But it is an adventure you will never forget.

We offer these hunts in June, as well as from Mid-August through early September.
