Welcome to our new Fly-In Fishing Camp!

Our Golden Lake Camp in North East Saskatchewan is uniquely situated on a narrow strip of land between 2 lakes, near a small connecting stream. Docks and boats on both lakes, ensure easy access to excellent fishing – wake up in the morning and decide which lake you want to fish – or maybe you’ll just fish off the docks!

Fly-In Fishing Camp!

We only book 1 group per trip, ensuring that your group has both lakes for themselves: there are no other lodges or private camps on either lake.

Walleye, Northern Pike, and Perch are abundant in these northern lakes.  You will have the potential to catch may times your legal limit every day – this is primarily a Catch and Release camp.

Group size:  5-10 people per group.  Only 1 group per trip.

  • Garbage Bags: recommend you bring lots of garbage bags, as they serve multiple purposes:
    • Garbage: please take all your garbage with you when you go.
    • If it is wet when loading/or unloading the float plane, having extra garbage bags available to put you sleeping bags or clothing in is often helpful.

Getting to Golden Lake:

  • The nearest community to stay at is Flin Flon (Manitoba), which is a 5-6 hr drive North-East from Saskatoon.  Depending on where you’re traveling from, it may make sense to spend the night before you fly to camp in Flin Flon, so you can be sure to get to the float plane dock on time on the morning of your departure.
  • On the AM of your flight, you’ll need to arrive at the float dock an hour before your scheduled departure, to ensure all your gear is on the dock and ready for your flight.

We caught too many Pickerel (Walleye) to count but collectively must have been in the hundreds over the days we fished. We didn’t have to use fancy lures. Mostly spoons like Red Devils and 5 of diamonds. A couple of us used jigs a couple days and they worked too. We mostly casted from the boat or trolled. Could also catch fish from the docks easy. When they were biting (or present) near the docks you would get a pickerel every 3 or so casts. We caught about 1 pike for every 2-3 pickerel. Mostly good eating size pike too. Natalie and I each caught a 36 inch pike and I got a 34 on a short ice fishing rod … (we) caught one huge perch. … it was a fun week. It’s neat having 2 lakes close to each other. If windy you can pick the lake easiest to boat in. There’s a creek that goes from golden to jones right north of the camp and you can always catch fish below those rapids…. Cheers,
